K.C. Rainey is a fantasy, and dark romance author based in Hawaii, where she lives with her husband, four kids, a dog, and a black cat. Originally from anywhere and nowhere, K.C. is a military brat turned military spouse. She has lived in North Carolina, Germany, Louisiana, Washington, and now Hawaii. Always a transplant and never a native, she waters where she is planted, even temporarily.

Reverie is her debut novel, and she is currently working on a few more projects behind the scenes, including a holiday novella and a spicy New Orleans vampire series. From K.C., readers can expect textured world-building, fated mates, and plot twists.

When she’s not writing, K.C. can be found scribbling in her planner, organizing a random insignificant part of her house that she's hyper-focused on, living mostly on iced coffee, matcha, and green tea, exploring Hawaii, tending to her houseplants, hiking, trying new restaurants, or eating acai bowls on the beach and always daydreaming about far-off kingdoms and constantly furiously tapping notes into the notes section of her phone whenever a random idea strikes.
